Typical Daily Schedule
Center Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday
7:30AM - 9:30AM
Drop-off and Breakfast
Our program opens daily at 7:30 AM, with drop-off taking place between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM. During this time, children are welcomed into the classroom and engage in free play as well as other planned activities to ease their transition into the day.
We provide a healthy breakfast to all children in our care. Breakfast is served at 9:30 AM, once all children have arrived, so that everyone can enjoy their meal together in a shared, family-style setting.
10:00 AM 10:45 AM
Circle Time/Curriculum Activities
After breakfast and diapering/bathroom transitions, we begin a structured and engaging part of the day. Teachers lead the children in circle time, where they enjoy stories, songs, discussions, and interactive activities that promote early learning and social development.
Following circle time, children transition into arts and crafts and participate in a variety of curriculum-based activities designed to encourage creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning.
10:45 AM - 11:15 AM
Indoor/Outdoor Play
After completing their planned curriculum activities, children transition to indoor or outdoor play, depending on the weather. Outdoor play is an important part of our daily routine, as it allows children to run, explore, and strengthen their gross motor development through active movement.
Whenever possible, we prioritize outdoor play to give children the opportunity to enjoy fresh air, socialize with peers, and engage in physical activities that promote healthy growth and development. On days when weather does not permit outdoor play, we provide a variety of indoor gross motor activities to ensure children still receive the movement and exercise they need.
11:15 AM - 12:15 PM
Lunch
Children in our program bring a homemade lunch each day. To support families and ensure mealtime runs smoothly, each classroom is equipped with both a refrigerator and a microwave for safe food storage and reheating.
We encourage parents to send healthy, homemade options—including leftovers from family dinners—as these are often both nutritious and familiar to children. For the safety of all children in our care, we maintain strict food safety guidelines and are a peanut-free program. Please be mindful to avoid sending any foods that may pose choking hazards or contain allergens restricted within our classrooms.
12:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Naptime
After lunch and diapering/toileting transitions, children settle in for rest time. Our program provides cots and mats, while families supply a blanket from home each Monday. Blankets are sent home every Friday to be washed and returned the following week.
To create a peaceful and comforting environment, we play soft, calming music during this time. Most children transition smoothly into rest, allowing their bodies and minds the opportunity to recharge for the remainder of the day.
2:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Afternoon Snack
After nap time, children transition to diapering/toileting routines before moving on to snack. Each afternoon, children enjoy a nutritious snack provided by their families. This time also serves as a gentle transition from rest to more active engagement as the children prepare for the remainder of the afternoon.
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Afternoon Pickup*
After snack, children engage in free play and center activities. During this time, staff prepare children who use transportation services for bus dismissal, while those not riding the bus begin preparing for parent pick-up.
Our program closes promptly at 5:00 PM each day. Families are expected to pick up their child(ren) by closing time. Please note that late fees will apply for any pick-up after 5:00 PM.
